やさしい日本語で広がる、多文化の輪
雲仙市は、多文化共生の推進を目的に「雲仙市日本語交流ひろば」を開催している。さまざまな国の人々が集い、ボランティアの日本人とともに“やさしい日本語”で会話を楽しみながら、日本の文化や習慣への理解を深める交流の場だ。
2月は2回の開催を予定している。
第6回は2月15日（日）午前10時から11時45分まで、南串山保健福祉センター多目的集会室で実施。テーマは「墨絵」。日本の伝統文化に触れながら、参加者同士の交流を図る。
第7回は2月22日（日）午前10時から11時45分まで、吾妻町ふるさと会館多目的ホールで開催する。テーマは「遊びでお互いを知ろう」。ゲームやアクティビティを通して自然なコミュニケーションを育む内容となっている。参加申し込みは2月20日（金）午後5時まで電子申請フォームで受け付けるが、申し込みがなくても参加可能。
いずれも参加費は無料。
言葉を学ぶ場であると同時に、地域で共に暮らす仲間として理解を深める機会でもある「日本語交流ひろば」。やさしい日本語がつなぐ対話の輪は、雲仙市における多文化共生社会の基盤を静かに広げている。

Unzen City to Host “Japanese Language Exchange Plaza”

Unzen City is hosting the “Unzen Japanese Language Exchange Plaza,” an initiative designed to promote multicultural understanding and community connection.
The program offers an opportunity for people from various countries to gather and communicate in easy Japanese alongside local volunteer facilitators. Through relaxed conversation and cultural activities, participants can learn about Japanese customs and traditions while building meaningful relationships within the community.
Two sessions are scheduled for February.
The 6th session will be held on Sunday, February 15, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Minamikushiyama Health and Welfare Center (Multipurpose Meeting Room). The theme will be Sumi-e (traditional Japanese ink painting), offering participants a chance to experience Japanese artistic culture in an interactive setting.
The 7th session will take place on Sunday, February 22, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:45 a.m. at the Azuma Town Furusato Hall (Multipurpose Hall). Under the theme “Let’s Get to Know Each Other Through Games,” participants will engage in fun activities designed to encourage natural communication and mutual understanding. While advance registration via the online application form is requested by 5:00 p.m. on Friday, February 20, walk-in participation is also welcome.
Admission is free for all sessions.
More than just a language-learning opportunity, the Japanese Language Exchange Plaza serves as a platform for fostering inclusive community ties. Through the shared use of easy Japanese, Unzen City continues to cultivate a welcoming environment where diverse cultures can connect and thrive together.
